我想，这份珍贵的宝物需要依靠我们的力量，继续传递下去。相信不论西蒙的后人今后会遭遇怎样的挫折或是不幸，都能够秉承着这段记忆来面对。

也许是因为刚刚从战场中抽离没多久，我立在父母的墓碑前听到大家唱着的斯卡布罗集市，六十二年来头一次感到战争结束后的喜悦。我可以想象父亲他们离开西西里的那一天，西蒙家族的大家坐在远洋日本的轮船甲板上，边听父亲抱着手风琴拉出的旋律边笑着唱歌的模样。

那时候西西里的海风拂过他们的脸颊，他们带着笑容离开那片养育他们的故土，像是以歌作别，歌声坦然。那是我能想象的，最美的一次歌唱。
